I was born and raised in rural Ontario. I have enjoyed painting as a hobby since the 1970's and I was an active member of the Orillia Ontario Guild of Artists.
My Professional life was spent as a Registered Nurse in several hospitals and northern outposts in Canada, as well as specializing in Intensive Care & Coronary Care Nursing at a major hospital in Victoria, B.C.
I studied art at the University of Victoria in the fine arts program prior to moving to Qualicum Beach, B.C. (on Vancouver Island) in 1989 and now, with my husband Bill, own THE GALLERY @ QUALICUM ART SUPPLY.
After moving to Qualicum Beach I began painting in Watercolours and then more recently in Acrylics.
Since becoming an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists in 2002, I have been accepted to shows at the Federation Gallery in Vancouver, the Malaspina College Art Gallery in Nanaimo, the Oceanside Art Gallery in Parksville and the Old Schoolhouse Gallery in Qualicum Beach.
In March 2008, I was granted Associate Signature Status by the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Over the past decade my work has been sold through many venues as well as through our own Gallery in Qualicum Beach. My paintings grace private collections in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, and British Columbia.
